In-Game Description[]

A sword technique that unleashes powerful shockwaves. Costs Spirit Emblems to use.
Its namesake comes from a large eddy of distant cloud forming near the headwaters; the Fountainhead Spiral.
Tomoe would watch her young master as he gazed longingly at the coiling clouds.
The sight meant everything to her.

Availability[]

Overview[]

It requires 9 Skill Points to unlock and a total of 37 Skill Points (21 to unlock Shadowrush and all its prerequisites, 16 to unlock Ashina Cross and all its prerequisites.) to become available.

Consumes 1 Spirit Emblem per swing.

Unleashes a flurry of shockwaves with each attack, ending the five hits combo with a sword swing.

It's highly recommended to use this Combat Art in conjunction with the Bestowal Ninjutsu, making every hit unblockable, or the Flame Vent and Living Force, allowing each swing to inflict Burn thus building it up faster.

Particularly effective against humanoids, as they'll attempt to block the entire combo, suffering major Posture Damage, but be mindful that some may bruteforce through the many hits with an heavy blow.

Prerequisites[]

Ability[]

(GUARD + ATTACK then ATTACK then ATTACK then ATTACK then ATTACK) Spiral Cloud Passage: Deliver nine dancing, consecutive attacks. These attacks emit powerful shockwaves. Costs 1 Spirit Emblem for each attack.

Notes[]

  • Without Spirit Emblems, it executes a longer, 9 hit version of Floating Passage, identical to the form used by Genichiro.

Trivia[]

  • It's the single most expensive Combat Art of the entire game.
