Description[]
The Old Palace Maids are the two daughters of the Master's Chamberlain.
They mourn what became of their father, entranced with serving the Great Coloured Carp for all eternity.
The first, met in Mibu Manor, simply wishes for her father to be freed from his shackles.
The second, instead, yearns for revenge against the Palace Nobles who tricked him.

From a distance | Daughter: Excuse me, young man... |
First encounter | Daughter: Young man, please be careful. The palace nobles have a craving for the vitality of youth. They can't help themselves. They want nothing but to sap away more and more of it. Wolf: ... I see. |
Speaking | Wolf: Why are you telling me this? Daughter: ... I have a favor to ask you, young man... |
Speaking again | Daughter: The courtyard is an accursed place. If you must forge ahead, you'd best go around it. ... and if you see my father... Please release him from the carp's bewitching powers. He just feeds it, forever and ever. My father would never have wished for such an eternity... |
Over her father's body | Daughter: You've been through so much, father. Though it may not be for eternity, my sister and I will always be with you... So please, father, rest now... |
From a distance | Daughter: Excuse me, young man... |
First encounter | Daughter: Young man, excuse me... Young man, do you happen to be going to the palace? Wolf: Yes. |
Speaking | Wolf: Why are you helping me..? Daughter: ...The gates to the palace have been closed for a long time now. I have a very important task I must tend to, but I couldn't possibly do it with this body of mine... Might you open the door to the palace, young man...? |
Speaking again | Daughter: Nowadays it's under water, but there is a large cave that will take you to the palace. Only, I hear the Great Carp now sleeps there... and if you do enter the palace... I was hoping you could you open the gate for me... I have a task I must accomplish... |
In the palace | Daughter: You... you beasts! You tricked him all this time! "Nobility" this, and "Eternity" that, pretty lies to fool him! Give him back! Father... my father... give him back... (crying) |
