Okami Swordsman[]

The infantry units of the Okami Clan.

Behaviour and Tactics[]

  • Perilous AttackPerilous Thrust: lunges forwards and thrusts.
  • Swing: swings her blade up to three times.
  • Fleeting Presence: slashes twice before leaping backwards.
  • Floating Passage: a relentless combo of six graceful hits. She will yell before initiating this attack.
  • Divine Smite: spinning slashes then jump kicks off Wolf, delivers an overhead smash and repeats indefinitely if he managed to deflect them.
  • (Elite only) Lightning AttackLightning Cut: stepping sideway twice then leaps up, imbuing the sword with lightning and cuts in a horizontal arc.
  • (Elite only) Lightning AttackLightning Passage: a relentless combo of six dancing hits with the last lightning-imbued cut.
  • (Elite only) Lightning AttackDivine Punishment: spinning slashes then jump kicks off Wolf, delivers two overhead smashes and a final lightning blow.

While dangerous in groups, being sure to fight the swordsman one on one trivializes the battle. Deflecting her hits is not difficult, and the only relatively difficult attack to counter is the Mikiri Counter required for her Perilous Thrust attack. Wolf may exploits her Divine Smite attack, since deflecting will get her stuck in the attack indefinitely.

Due to the Elite's tendency to create distance by jumping away in order to perform the Lightning Cut, it is fairly easy to defeat this enemy by simply running after them before they can perform one of their attacks, then attacking relentlessly, preventing them from creating any space. If this enemy is found in a group, try running to a point that places this enemy between Wolf and the other enemies, giving time to attack the enemy. If this tactic is unsuccessful, try to keep out of the range of this enemies attack, while picking off the other enemies.

Okami Juggler[]

They can only be found deeper within the palace courtyard, playing Cuju.

Behaviour and Tactics[]

  • Ground Breaker: leaps high up and delivers a powerful scissor kick capable of dealing tremendous damage. The ball will not hit Wolf if he is near or directly beneath her when she leaped.
  • Light Hitter: leaps high up, spins her body sideway and kicks a slow-moving curved ball.
  • Air Pedal: jumps and kicks twice when Wolf is near.
  • Bounce Back: kicks the ball directly at Wolf twice.
  • (Elite only) Lightning AttackLightning Ball: leaps up and charges her ball with lightning, then kicks it.

Simply rushing down the enemy and repeatedly attacking is enough to break their posture and perform a Deathblow.

Okami Spear-Bearer[]

First found before the Flower Viewing Stage Sculptor's Idol, accompanied by a Palace Noble.

Behaviour and Tactics[]

  • Spear Dance: swings her spear for three times.
  • Perilous AttackPerilous Sweep: enacts a stance then proceeds to sweep the ground for four times.
  • Perilous AttackPerilous Sweep Follow Up: cleaves once then follows up with a Perilous Sweep.
  • Perilous AttackAirborne Thrust: quickly leaps up and thrusts forwards.
  • Perilous AttackPerilous Thrust: thrusts her spear in a swift motion.
  • (Elite only) Lightning AttackLightning Slash: spins in the air and imbues her spear with lightning then cleaves in a vertical arc.
  • (Elite only) Lightning AttackLightning Cleave: quickly leaps up and cleaves in a horizontal arc with the lightning-imbued spear.

Learning the timing of the Mikiri Counter is all but necessary to defeat the spear-bearer. This in combination with the jump-kick counter will reduce the challenge of this fight greatly.

Okami Archer[]

Missing information.

Behaviour and Tactics[]

  • Arrow Shot: shoots an arrow at the target. She may leaps around and shoots at the same times.
  • Perilous AttackSwift Switch: when danger is close, she quickly pulls out the sword and lunges, thrusting forward.

As with many archers, rushing this enemy down and repeatedly attacking will most likely break their posture, or simply outright kill them. Should they jump away, use the Loaded Shuriken, then use Chasing Slice to close the gap, likely allowing a deathblow to be performed.
