A bell-wielding Taro soldier, first encountered in front of the Abandoned Dungeon's entrance in Ashina Castle, accompanied by three Dogs.
A sick variant can be found in Mibu Village.
Behaviour and Tactics[]
Perilous Grab: holds the bell up high and attempts to capture Wolf four times, with each attempt has an increasing distance. If connected, he is trapped inside the bell taking damage from heavy reverberation.- Bell Smash: smashes the bell down up to four times.
- Windup: spins the bell twice with fixed distance and swings at an arc.
- Long Throw: swings the bell forward for a long distance.
- Close Bell: quickly spins the bell close to him.
- Raging Smash: smashing the bell down for three times, then picks it up with both hand smashing for another four times.
The Bell-Wielding Taro Soldier is equipped with a poor-fitting armor, which can be stripped off with the Loaded Spear for extra damage.

Club-Wielding Taro Soldier[]
A club-wielding Taro soldier, first encountered at the Outskirts Wall - Gate Path in Ashina Outskirts.
One wearing the Senpou Temple outfit found behind the altar in the room with Monks and Crickets and the first Immortal Monk.
One wearing the Senpou outfit found on the pathway leading up to the Main Hall from Temple Grounds in Senpou Temple, accompanied by a Senpou Adept and a shield-wielding Taro Soldier.
Behaviour and Tactics[]
- Homerun: smashes the club down to his right, readies it in a stance, then jumping tip-toe on one foot towards the target for three times and delivers a powerful swing, after which will leave him vulnerable on the ground.

Mallet-Wielding Taro Soldier[]
A mallet-wielding Taro soldier. The first is encountered before the Outskirts Wall - Stairway Sculptor's Idol, hiding behind a wall and only coming out once Wolf has entered combat with the nearby soldiers.
A duo of them is fought after the Ashina Castle Gate Sculptor's Idol.
One is seen at a grassy field after defeating Gyoubu Masataka Oniwa, hitting the ground with his mallet, another one directly behind him, hidden behind a corner.
One wearing the Senpou outfit is found behind the shrine in the first hall where the first one is encountered.
One wearing the Senpou outfit is found to the right from the main path leading down from the Temple Grounds in Senpou Temple, accompanied by Monkeys.
A sick version can be found in Mibu Village at the plantation.
Behaviour and Tactics[]
- Leap: leaps into the air, slamming the hammer onto the ground.
- Slam: upperhead slam with the mallet one to four times.
- Slap and Hit: hits once with the mallet then his fist once or twice.
- Wide Swing: swings the mallet in a wide angle.
- Frenzy: enters a frenzied state, slamming the hammer repeatedly into the ground.
All their attacks are fairly well-telegraphed and easy to parry. Try staying behind them while they swing as they don't turn fast. If Wolf successfully stays behind them for a long enough time, the soldier will enter the suspicious phase, allowing for an easy backstab Deathblow.
