Senpou Temple is a temple in the Mt. Kongo region. It is home to some monks who have been corrupted by their obsession with the undying.

Halls of Illusion[]

An illusory world, protected by the Folding Screen Monkeys to hide the Divine Child of Rejuvenation.

There are four notable locations in the area:

  • Abyss Hall: "Below is an abyss. The bottom cannot be seen. Above is darkness. Nothing can be seen."
  • Deafening Bell: "This bell is deafening. Ringing it recklessly will also make your ears ring."
  • Light Hall: "A bare flame in the wind. When it goes out, the place becomes dark as night."
  • Roaring Hall: "The noise of the Roaring Waterfall is deafening. Surely no one can hear anything else in here."


Main Hall, Inner Sanctum and Cave[]

The key building of the temple, which houses the Inner Sanctum, where the Divine Child of Rejuvenation resides.

Next to the Hall is a dark cave where the High Priest of Senpou Temple sits in immortal eternity, petrified and uncaring, surrounded by Lesser Centipedes.

Trivia[]

  • Senpou Temple is referred to as 「八葉寺」 (Hachiyouji Temple) in cut dialogue, which is a real world temple located in Fukushima, Japan while Mount Kongo「金剛山」, where Senpou Temple is located in-game is a real world location in Osaka, Japan.
    • While the two locations both seem to be inspired by real world locations, the temple and the mountain are located over 700km away from each other.
