Description

The Head Priest (神主) is the most importal person of Mibu Village.

As Basket Wearer Shosuke explains, the Head Priest has been encouraging the villagers to drink a lot of sake to become "citizens of the palace".

He sits in a corner of his house, gulpling sake, while a mob of villagers stands just outside his door.

Location

  • Water Mill: inside the temple just before the Corrupted Monk. The building can only be entered from under the front porch via a rotating door.

Progression

Fountainhead Palace (Mibu Manor)

Dive down the puddle in front of the Okami Spear-Bearer and the Palace Noble before the Flower Viewing Stage Sculptor's Idol to reach a secret room with a chest that contains the Water of the Palace.

Mibu Village (Water Mill)

Give the Water to the Priest to receive Dragonspring Sake and reload the area to find him transformed into a Palace Noble: kill him for Treasure Carp Scale [x5].

  • Punch: throws a punch and then follows it with a backhand slap.
  • Stab: slowly stabs Wolf with his flute.

Fights like a Red-Robed Noble and as such doesn't pose much of a threat.
