In-Game Description[]

The key to a samurai gatehouse located in the Ashina Reservoir, not far from the well the Wolf was kept in.

Here, Gyoubu Masataka Oniwa is respectfully guarded by Ashina samurai. The Broken Horn is the spear blade once wielded by Gyoubu the Demon. It's said that no prey can escape Gyoubu's horn.
It pulls enemies in, and is even capable of stripping an enemy's armor.

Availability[]

The key is dropped by a spear-wielding soldier on the bridge to the Abandoned Dungeon. Grapple onto the branch in front of the Faithful One near the Ashina Castle Sculptor's Idol and pass the gate to find the soldier speaking to a swordsman.
Found to the left of the Ashina Castle Sculptor's Idol, in front of the door that leads down to the Ashina Reservoir, if it hasn't been retrieved prior to the first invasion of Ashina Castle by the Central Forces.

Overview[]

Used to unlock the building in the Ashina Reservoir where Gyoubu's Broken Horn is held. The spot is the same where underneath the floor, in the prologue, Wolf could eavesdrop on two soldiers talking about Kuro and Genichiro.

Notes[]

Despite being possible to collect this item even after the final invasion of Ashina Castle and Outskirts by the Central Forces, the place where this key would be used in Ashina Reservoir is unreachable and Gyoubu's Broken Horn will be available in the Offering Box next to Hanbei for 2800 2800.
