![]() |
Rot Essence: Info Broker |
First encounter | Fujioka: You're not one of the samurai of this castle, are you, friend? You look like a shinobi... a skilled one. |
"Yes" | Wolf: That's right. Fujioka: Hehe, thought so. In that case... What say you take care of the samurai around here? Some... unfortunate things happened... And now they're after me day and night... I’m at the end of my rope here. I tell ya, these Ashina samurai got a stick so far up their... Well, you'd think they'd have bigger things to worry about than chasing after me anyway. |
"Say nothing" | Wolf: ... Fujioka: Hehe, fair enough. All right, what say we make a deal? I need you to take care of the samurai around here. Some... unfortunate things happened... And now they're after me day and night... I’m at the end of my rope here. I tell ya, these Ashina samurai got a stick so far up their... Well, you'd think they'd have bigger things to worry about than chasing after me anyway. Oh, of course, I'll make it worth your while. We're making a deal, after all. |
"Yes" with the soldiers already killed | Wolf: That's right. Fujioka: Hehe, thought so. Well, you sure got me out of the pot. Ya see, some... unfortunate things happened... And then they were after me day and night... I was at the end of my rope! But boy, did you show them! Here, take this with my thanks. (Gives Nightjar Beacon Memo) See, I deal in information. It's how I make my living. |
"Say nothing" with the soldiers already killed | Wolf: ... Fujioka: Hehe, fair enough. |
Talking again before completing his request | Fujioka: Of course, I'll make it worth your while. I make my living selling information. Take care of the samurai around here for me... And I'll let you in on something really special, friend. |
Talking again after completing his request | Fujioka: You're a real friend, friend. I owe you. Here, as promised. It's all yours. (Gives Nightjar Beacon Memo). See ya, pal. Maybe we'll cross paths again someday. |
Talking again | Fujioka: Yeah? You still need something? Sorry, but I don't do business in dangerous places like this. He who fights and runs away, you know? Maybe we'll cross paths again someday. |
Talking (generic) | Fujioka: Look friend, you're not gonna convince me. I don't do business in dangerous places. Maybe we'll cross paths again someday. |
Talking if not met in Ashina Castle | Fujioka: So friend, are you a shinobi or what? |
"Yes" | Wolf: That's right. Fujioka: Hehe, thought so. In that case, I've got information that might... peak your interest. Surely a shinobi like you understands the value of good information. |
"Say nothing" | Wolf:... Fujioka: Hehe, I see. Fair enough. Anyways, you came at a good time. Wanna buy some information, friend? |
Talking if rescued back in Ashina Castle | Fujioka: Hey, it's you! Thanks again for bailing me out back at Ashina Castle. I'm gonna be hanging around here for a while. I need time to sort through all the info I've got. Speaking of which, I'm happy to do business with you anytime. Interested? |
"Talk" | Fujioka: Ah, so you're looking for goods instead of info, huh? I've always had sticky fingers, I guess. I end up collecting lots without really noticing. I got fed up with all the offerings and memorials, so I left the Mob, but... When I see a dead body, I can't leave it unpilfered. Besides, property can belong to anyone, right? (Laughs) |
"Talk" again | Fujioka: Hey, friend. If you're going to Ashina Castle, be careful. They've got all kinds of strange ones there now, and lots of 'em, at that.
I know the Interior Ministers are afraid of Isshin Ashina, but it looks like they found their nerve. Tide might be turning for Ashina... |
Leaving (generic) | Fujioka: Until next time, friend. |
Talking again | Fujioka: Still have some business with me? |
Talking after killing Hanbei | Fujioka: Looks like that damned near immortal samurai's finally gone and died. I tell you, I don't understand what goes on in the mind of an honest samurai. If you're not gonna die, you should go off and enjoy yourself. Anyways, nice job friend. I'm sure he went to heaven. (Laughs.) |
Greeting after the Divine Dragon is defeated | Fujioka: So it's finally begun... Isshin Ashina's gone, and the Central Force have launched one hell of an invasion. The Ashina are likely finished now. Maybe it's time I wrapped up here, too... Any more business with me, friend? |
"Talk" afterward | Fujioka: Oh, if you're looking for the Sculptor, he's gone. He stumbled off muttering something about "the flames..." I think he was heading towards the battlefield. But where he went and why he went there's none of my business. Until next time, friend. |
First encounter when infected with Dragonrot | Fujioka: (Wheezing...)
Wolf: What's wrong with you...? Fujioka: (Wheezing...)
Wolf: You've caught it too... |
"Take coughed up blood sample" | Fujioka: (Wheezing and coughing up blood) Wolf: I'm taking a blood sample. ... Now to bring this to Lady Emma. |
Notes[]
- Purchasing the Gourd Seed from the Info Broker is a necessary step to unlock the "Ultimate Healing Gourd" trophy.
- He's the only merchant to sell an infinite supply of Pacifying Agents and Ungo's Sugars.
- Fujioka also sells an unlimited quantity of Antidote Powder like the Toxic Memorial Mob but 20 Sen cheaper, while also being faster to reach.
- Can't be infected with Dragonrot while he's in Ashina Castle.
Trivia[]
- The Info Broker never reveals his own name directly.
- In japanese, his Rot Essence never mentions any compassion, it reads more like: "While the whereabouts of a man can be sold, his feelings can't be discarded" (人の事情は売りさばくが、人の情は捨てきれぬ)
Cut Content[]
Apparently Wolf was initially able to kill Fujioka and the Info Broker was meant to give Sekiro a reward for curing his Dragonrot infection.
