| The persimmon-like heart of a Great Serpent. The Great Serpent is considered to be a god of the land, and the heart is believed to be where one's spirit resides. While its shape bears similarity to a persimmon, in fact this is the red viscera of a god. It is safe to assume that eating it would be poisonous to one's health. |

Availability[]
Reward for defeating the Great Serpent in the Sunken Valley.
Overview[]
The following steps are required to kill the Great Serpent:
- Meet the Serpent after the Gun Fort.
- Perform the Puppeteer Ninjutsu on the Rat of Senpou Temple to have him operate the Shinobi Kite.
- Use the Kite to reach the Sunken Valley Cave Sculptor's Idol.
- Execute a lunge deathblow on the Serpent and then final deathblow to murder it.
Required for the Return Ending.
Notes[]
- Even if the Great Serpent of the Sunken Valley is killed, the Great Serpent guarding the Dried Serpent Viscera will still be found in the cave.
Trivia[]
- By performing a plunging deathblow on the Great Serpent from the Sunken Valley Cave Sculptor's Idol of Senpou Temple and not taking the second deathblow, the Serpent will shallow Wolf without killing him and will bring him to the bridge in front of the shrine with the Dried Viscera.
- Since the death of the Great Serpent has no effect on the other in the cave, it's possible that there are two of these creature or that both share the same body.
- This viscera is the "fresh fruit" the Faithful One of Senpou Temple talks about, after being given Rice.
