In-Game Description[]

An odachi capable of slaying the undying. Its crimson blade will take the life of any who dares draw it.

Without the power of Resurrection, one could not hope to wield this weapon, which allows one to defeat even infested beings.
Long concealed within Senpou Temple, the blade is inscribed with its true name: "Gracious Gift of Tears".

Availability[]

Given by the Divine Child of Rejuvenation in the Inner Sanctum of Senpou Temple after defeating the Folding Screen Monkeys in the Halls of Illusion.

Overview[]

Required to draw Kuro's blood, one of the ingredients needed to reach the Divine Realm.

Unlocks the Mortal Draw Combat Art.

The Mortal Blade gives Wolf the ability to sever the ties of immortality on creatures such as:

Retrieving this item, the Lotus of the Palace and the Shelter Stone will trigger the first invasion of Ashina Castle by the Central Forces, which in turn will make all the Sculptor's Idols of the area unavailable, except for that of the Abandoned Dungeon Entrance.
Even if unlocked in a previous New Game Cycle, both the Mortal Draw and Empowered Mortal Draw Combat Arts won't become available again until the Mortal Blade is retrieved.
