Carps are a normal enemy in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. They are commonly found in water areas in Ashina Castle, Ashina Depths, Hirata Estate, Fountainhead Palace, Abandoned Dungeon, Sunken Valley and Senpou Temple.

An aggressive fish often found accompanying Treasure Carps.
Behaviour and Tactics[]
- Charge: charges and bites.
Carps are mostly found in groups. They tend to circle around Wolf from distance and then quickly charge to bite. They are often accompanying a Treasure Carp. Carps can only be attacked while Wolf is in the water. Mibu Breathing Technique is required to be able to go underwater.

Treasure Carp[]
Carp are fish that drop the valuable Treasure Carp Scale, found in lakes across Ashina Castle, Ashina Depths, Fountainhead Palace, Hirata Estate, Senpou Temple and Sunken Valley.
Behaviour and Tactics[]
When a carp senses danger is near, it flees in the opposite direction and disappear, only to reappear later in a different spot.
They are sometimes accompanied by more aggressive fish.

Red-Eyed Carp[]
A red-eyed Carp found in the lake in the Mibu Village. Its eyes are required by Doujun as described in the Surgeon's Stained Letter to further continue his research.
Behaviour and Tactics[]
The red-eyed Treasure Carp is not aggressive and won't attack, and behaves similarly to a normal Treasure Carp.
